Firestone Complete Auto Care

I have used Firestone several times and have had no complaints. They are all very knowledgeable and have taken great care of my vehicles. Surprisingly even though they are a franchise, their prices are very reasonable.

Told me my serpentine belt was loose / slightly off track and probably worn and cracked. Asked for belt when replaced. Took to mechanic at another location and belt was fine. No wear and tear. No cracks. Taking belt to Honda Dealership Service Center to get a third opinion and will contact Owensboro Firestone. Tried to sell me $141 fuel system cleaning, but declined.

I went in for an alignment. There was a funny roar noise after I picked it up. Took it back in the next day. Told them about the noise. The "supervisor" man told me it was an exhaust leak and to take it somewhere else. The noise didn't start until after the alignment. He said it wasn't their problem. I had my son look at it and he verified there was notan exhaust leak. The technician who worked on my car didn't close the engine air filter compartment after he checked to see if it needed to be replaced. These people clearly gave zero craps about me or my car. They didn't even open the hood and gave me a diagnosis that would have cost me more money to have looked at. Maybe in the future do the job right to start with and try a little harder at customer service

Firestone quoted me over $800 for a job that shouldn't have costed more than $50. If anyone at Firestone tells you that you need new tires, get a second opinion… I came to Firestone to patch a flat tire and they said they couldn’t patch it and that I needed 4 new tires. They said it was something about the all wheel drive on my car that they couldn’t replace just one. I took my car to Goodyear and they had no problem replacing my one tire.

was time for oil change and tire rotation. I only completed the tire rotation. At some time during previous oil changes the oil filter cap was overtightened causing oil cooler to leak. First time I had to pay $700 to a shop for replacement of that oil cooler assembly. When the manager could not assure me of a proper oil change using torque wrench to tighten oil cooler - I will do the work myself. I question the qualification of this shop and wonder if they put the lugnuts to correct torque. Tire rotation included from the purchase of tires here.
